BLAZE WINTERSTEIN
Hello, my name is Blaze Winterstein and I'm honored to be apart of the Fitness For Life Staff. I graduated with my Bachelors in Exercise Science at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and working towards my Masters in Physical Therapy. I believe this is the perfect career path for me because it allows me to help others' lives and well-being while being active and involved through fitness and nutrition. FITNESS FOR LIFE is the perfect slogan for my life because it's what I grew up around and have loved ever since I was young. I believe my love for fitness came to fruition because my father owned and operated a gym for 25 years and that's where I spent the majority of my time. For me it has always been intriguing to learn new and improved ways of fitness and well-being. Henry Ford once said, "Anyone who stops learning is old, whether twenty or eighty," which works perfectly for fitness because if you're not learning something new on how to improve and modify your body and lifestyle then your mind and body will become complacent.
ERIC TORREY
Sports and fitness played a significant part of his life and included neighborhood and organized teams. Coaching was a natural progression for Eric Torrey.
"I have always enjoyed coaching because it allows you to challenge an individual to push themselves beyond what they ever thought was possible," says Torrey.
his is true whether he's coaching someone to lose weight, to compete in their first sprint triathlon or to complete a century ride. He's able to fit the needs of seasoned competitors looking to PR in their favorite distance or beginners in their first race. At Fitness for Life, Eric will work to inspire you to reach your potential and achieve some goals you never even thought were possible.
TED FARRELL
Ted Farrell is one of Fitness for Life's newest trainers - but he's no stranger to the area. Ted received his B.S in Exercise Science from the University of Mount Union in 2002 and has held a national certification in personal training from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) for over ten years. Ted currently is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) for the Nation Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
Ted works with people from all walks of life to safely overcome their challenges and effectively achieve their goals. In addition to personal training, Ted has also had experience as a physical therapy technician.
